The democrats tend to be all for a very power central government in which all entities must acquiesce to government.

Obamacare tried to force Catholic organizations to provide birth control and later abortion coverage.

Then there was COVID where. Several instances saw government disallowing church service.

If the Democrats are not explicit in their disdain for the 1st amendment they are certainly complicit in allowing attacks on religion to go unchecked.
