This is how its supposed to work, not putting up roadblocks and discouraging voter participation.

The same day Taylor Swift posted a message encouraging her followers to register to vote, over 35,000 people reportedly made a “Run (Taylor’s Version)” to do so on Vote.org.
“Vote.org saw record-breaking traffic to our site this week as we celebrated National Voter Registration Day, a highly encouraging sign of voter enthusiasm especially among newly eligible voters. Time and time again young people are showing up and demonstrating they care about their rights and access to the ballot box,” Andrea Hailey, CEO of Vote.org said in a release. :geek:

Nothing is more concerning for America's future of providing equality, fairness, and opportunity for everyone than to have millions more of those who can't figure out what bathroom to use today voting away everyone's rights & freedoms to the politicians who make promises of safety and more FREE stuff...
Stupid is as stupid does.

Taylor Swift has been doing this over many election cycles.
For example, in October of 2018: "Voter registrations skyrocket after Taylor Swift’s get-out-the-vote push"
Voter registrations among young Americans shot up in the wake of pop megastar Taylor Swift’s Instagram post urging her 112 million Instagram followers to get out the vote.
Vote.org says nearly 65,000 Americans ages 18 to 29 registered to vote in the roughly 24 hours after the singer-songwriter’s social media rallying cry.
By noon on Tuesday, that number grew to more than 102,000.

SO, like 50% less registered than when she did the same thing in 2018?

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad trombone.

Perhaps she should've stuck to putting up roadblocks.

That's what we need. People stupid enough to spend $1000 for a concert ticket registered to vote. Hell it's the people that would spend $1000 for a concert ticket that should be ineligible to vote for being that stupid. Also people who think it's a good thing to register people stupid enough to spend $1000 for a concert ticket to vote should also be ineligible to vote for their absolute stupidity.

The voter registration numbers are backed up by the actual increase in the percentage of the electorate that were young voters.
"Registration Matters: Michigan, which led the nation in youth voter turnout, also had the highest increase in the number of youth registered to vote between 2018 and 2022. Minnesota, Colorado, and Washington, all among the top-7 states for 2022 youth turnout, also had double-digit increases in registration."

It had nothing to do with Taylor Swift. Those campaigns make the success of their spokesperson baked into the cake.
