If only that were true. The same people hold power until they no longer serve the purpose for which the party needs them.

If that were true no incumbents would ever be defeated in primaries and general elections plus those that retire.
There are 83 freshmen members of the 118th Congress. There are seven new senators (two Democrats, five Republicans) and 74 new representatives (34 Democrats, 40 Republicans), at the start of its first session. Also, one senator (a Republican) and one representative (a Democrat) have taken office in order to fill vacancies during the 118th Congress.

Incumbents are rarely defeated. Swing districts maybe. But anyone in a solid red or blue district is basically protected until they can be used for sacrifice SEE: Al Franken.

Nero wants people to believe that politics is fair, honest and that voters still run the show.

I'm sure he knows it is bullshit because if what he says is true. The nation is unhappy with its selection of democratic and leftist ideas. .Nero hasn't gotten his orders on how to respond to such logic and he can't do it by himself.

"To those who were digging my political grave so that they could jump into my seat, I know who you are, and I won’t forget you,” he said at the time.

I wonder what he knows about the Bidens...

Doesn't matter....he served his purpose. Now be is out. They kicked him out of the club. They needed to show that they were "serious" about metoo and. Toxic masculinity. He had a high enough profile and the opportunity arose so they chopped him.

Case in point Ted Kennedy ran a woman off a funding pier and let her drown. Rumors persist she was pregnant.

He didn't leave the Senate. He was still useful and he was part of the Democrats royal family.

Menendez is being indicted now to obscure some more negativity from the Biden white house.

It gives media something else to talk about rather than Biden ogling pre-teens or mangling the English language on international television. Or carrying out Obama's orders and fucking up the economy even more.

Nobody said that. You should learn to comprehend what a valid analogy is.

Franken resigned on his own accord.
